Love a good winter rustic wedding well if you do than this is the feature for you. This stunning Aspen, Colorado wedding showcases just how magical a wedding out west can be. Given the fact that a big snow storm happened things had to be changed around a little but from the looks of the images you would never know. From the planner: This cute Memphis couple have been dating since high school and had a snow storm on their wedding day in Sept! The bride loved it. The bride was in her grandmother-in-laws vintage fur, decorated with barn wood signs and monogrammed hankies. We had to move inside-Plan B, with the frigid temps and high winds. The day before our wedding was a beautiful, fall Aspen day – golden leaves on the aspen trees, clear skies, cool air, warm sun. Schaefer and I were lounging around the Little Nell pool with our wedding guests in the afternoon. As I was getting ready at the base of Ajax on our wedding day, I could feel the temperature start to drop and see clouds rolling over the top of the mountain. By the time we boarded the Gondola to make our way up the mountain to the Aspen Wedding Deck, the snow had started falling. The Aspenites called it a heavy dusting; our Tennessee and Texas guests called it a blizzard. What was going to be an outdoor wedding was quickly rearranged for an indoor venue. Ellen made the transition seamlessly as if it were supposed to be inside all along. When they opened the doors for me to walk down the aisle, this billow of snow fog rolled into the room. The back of the venue was framed by floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the snowstorm on Maroon Bells. It literally looked like all of our wedding guests were sitting on a cloud. It was truly the most amazing sight I’ve ever seen.
