Taking place at the Wisconsin rustic wedding venue, The Barnsite Retreat this wedding features a beautiful location and perfect DIY decorations. From the photographer: Lexi and Andy were married in the shade of a willow tree on the grounds of The Barnsite Retreat in Kewaunee, WI. Their wedding day was filled with the most outrageously gorgeous DIY decor. Hand-written signage, repurposed barn wood, a quilt square signing station and custom invitations (graphically designed by the bride herself) were just a few pieces that added to the relaxed and rustic feel of their day. Lexi and Andy selected sunflowers as the floral focus, which perfectly complimented their timeless navy color palette. At their ceremony, Lexi and Andy also embraced a tradition deeply rooted in the countryside across the pond. In Scotland, it is believed that an oath made near water or stone is considered to be more binding, so during the reading of their wedding vows, they both placed their hands upon a beautiful heart-shaped Oathing Stone.
