This stunning DIY style wedding has everything you would want to see from a “homegrown” style event. From the bride: From the start, we knew we wanted three things at our wedding: tacos, fireworks, and a genuine homemade, homegrown feel. We had always known we wanted to get married on my family’s farm, but when we looked into actually putting it together, it quickly became a super daunting task. There is no parking lot, there are no nearby hotels, and we’d have to halt all summer work and harvesting to hold such a huge event in a space that is usually bustling with activity during the month of July. Chris and I searched the city we live in for an alternate venue, but nothing felt right compared to the farm. Despite some doubts, we finally decided to take on the work load and commit to throwing the party ourselves on my family’s property.
