I believe that all brides are beautiful which one of the reasons why I love featuring bridal sessions. This stunning session showcases a rustic chic barn, a stunning bride bride and endless inspiration, three of our favorite things. Thanks to Ayenia Nour Photographyand City Chic Weddings for sharing these photos with us and for providing some behind the scenes information. We absolutely loved putting together this romantic and vintage style shoot in upstate New York, and it was a pleasure working with our lovely bride to create some breathtaking bridal pictures! Revolving the shoot around an old barn surrounded by a beautiful pond and tall oak trees, we wanted to form a striking contrast between the rustic scenery and the exquisitely chic bride. We did that through small and detailed bursts of color, with the gorgeous reds, yellows, pinks, oranges and purples of the mixed bouquet, as well as with the rouge lip color that complemented the gorgeous bride.

Rustic Chic Bridal Session
Bridal sessions have become an important part of the pre-wedding process and allows the bride to have pictures done on her own before the hectic schedule on the wedding day. This beautiful bridal session features a bride who chose to have a rustic chic theme which will match the theme of her upcoming wedding. With simple country details like a patchwork quilt, this bridal session shows off the bride and her dress beautifully while keeping the rustic chic theme visible. Thanks to Melanie of Melanie McCusker Photography for sharing these beautiful pictures with us. Are you having a bridal session before your wedding? Wyoming Bridal Session
Looking for a little inspiration for your bridal session? You don’t have to look much further than this beautiful Wyoming bridal session which has the majestic mountains as a backdrop and has a few fun props that really creates a more editorial look rather than just a portrait look. An editorial look is styled to look more like something would see photographer for a magazine, it is no doubt that has become one of the most popular bridal session styles. Thanks to Sweet Memory Garden Photography for these mountain beauty shots. I also kind of have a thing for pies at weddings, I think they are the perfect country rustic wedding dessert and here is the crazy part … I don’t even eat pie!

A Texas Barn Bridal Session
Two things I love writing about are barns & brides so lucky for me this wonderful country Texas bridal session has both! There is something so wonderful about the contrast between the in the rough, rugged and rustic barn with the soft, delicate wedding dress. This country bridal session was shot at Cedar Hill State Park outside of Fort Worth, Texas and if you ask me is the perfect mix of rustic and chic!

Country Chic Bridal Session Shoot
Bridal session photo shoots seem to be growing in popularity and I can certainly understand why. After all this is an opportunity for the bride to wear her wedding gown one extra day and have photos of herself alone with the added bonus of not being rushed like sometimes photos can be on the wedding day. Here is a beautiful country chic bridal session which makes for a great inspiration when planning your own bridal session.

Bridal Session Photo Shoots
There seems to be a trend out there right now for “Bridal Sessions” – these are pictures that a bride gets taken in her wedding dress leading up to her wedding day. I am starting to see these types of photo sessions pick up in popularity so I dug a little deeper and asked a few different photographers what they thought. Dallas of Dallas Gilliam Photography informed me that he thinks bridal sessions are truly a day for just the bride and that it gives brides a chance to make sure they like their hair and makeup, it also gives the bride a chance to have some “face time” with the photographer which makes things more comfortable on the wedding day. Head over to our facebook page and tell us what you think about bridal sessions or if you plan on having one. Here are a few shots from one of Dallas Gilliam’s bridal sessions.
