A little behind the scenes info from photographer, Elle Rose PhotoAlex and Maureen’s Day was absolutely beautiful. They had some modern style mixed in with rustic, DIY touches that both represented their respective heritages. I love that the had a cake with candles, it fit the romantically lit stone space where the reception was held, along Chicago’s Lake Michigan at Promontory Point. Candles, golds, and mercury glass pieces covered the tables along with hits of gold glitter. From the handmade matchbooks to the hand-cut gold banner and the celebration straws – these two designed and made everything themselves. It was stunning from start to finish. After seeing this wedding are you thinking about a wedding in Chicago?
