Looking back at all of the amazing weddings from 2015, it’s easy to see that some of the best weddings were backyard weddings. To do a little recap, I put together a list of the top 10 backyard weddings from the year. I hope you get inspired!
1. Elegant Rustic Backyard Wedding
This backyard wedding is truly special. The ceremony was held at the bride’s parents’ house where the parents had their own wedding. The couple kept it casual yet fun – the guests even brought their own chairs!

This wedding was not only one of the best backyard weddings of the year, but also one of the best fall weddings of the year. The wedding party was dressed in beautiful fall colors – dark greens and blues – and the guests sat on hale bales during the ceremony. The best part about this backyard wedding, however, is the gorgeous water backdrop. The groom even paddled to the wedding in a canoe!

This backyard wedding had to make the top 10 for its amazing destination location. After a breathtaking ceremony on a hilltop in France, the wedding party adjourned to the reception. Held on the same property, the reception was a casual yet lovely affair shared with friends and family from all over the world.

Held on the family farm, this wedding deserves credit as one of the best backyard weddings and farm weddings of the year. The couple said their vows under beautiful oak trees on the front lawn, and danced under lantern lit trees on the back lawn. The whole day was truly magical.
