With an elegant farm style wedding planned, this couple held their wedding at Black Feather Farm, a New York rustic wedding location that was able to showcase the best of what an outdoor wedding has to offer. From the bride: My fiancée and I were living across the pond in London when we started to plan our American wedding. Planning and coordinating an event from across an ocean is never an easy task, even at the best of times. And with more than half of our guests coming from different corners of the globe, the pressure was on to show them a brilliant time at our outdoor country wedding. We decided on Black Feather Farm as the perfect spot for our event. The natural setting is stunning and offered so many opportunities to shape and build our own unique day. It really was the blank canvas that we craved! And the secluded setting provided the exclusivity we wanted in order to transport our guests (via hay wagon!) into our own romantic country fairy tale.
The natural landscape was glorious! We made use of hidden groves, beautiful mountain-top views and the pond-side celebration area – the natural blank canvas offered complete freedom to create whatever we could dream up. From our abstract outdoor living room area, to our rustic old-fashioned lemonade stand, to the understated elegance of the black feather table settings, each individual element added a special touch and enhanced the overall experience for us and our guests.
