Looking for a little inspiration for a blue wedding theme? Today’s real wedding is the second part of an amazing Canadian wedding which features not only this dark blue color theme but also a groom in a kilt. Read more about this wedding in part one from yesterday. Here is a little information from the bride: Hailey, at Final Touches was a great source for bringing our inspiration to a reality. The striking blue was balanced out by softer shades of peridot green, and ivory. We wanted our day to have a balance of simple elegance and relaxed charm. Our ceremony took place in Rob’s parents’ backyard in a tented ceremony. Guests parked 3km away at the reception site, King Valley Golf Course, and were shuttled to the ceremony site where they enjoyed cocktails and refreshments, including Pimm’s Cup.The gemstones we chose, Sapphire, and Peridot (August stone, and the month of our wedding) brought a touch of glamour while keeping our theme of simple elegance throughout. We carried out this color theme throughout our wedding plans and leading up to the day. Our stationary, by Aktiv Art & Design gave our friends and family a sneak peak to what our day would be, We made a fun DIY flip flop basket on the dance floor of our colors, and our wedding favors, French Macarons were the peridot green (chocolate mint!) and ivory (sesame flavor) from Ruelo Bakery. A gift to my bridesmaids included satin robes of the peridot color, which looked beautiful as we got ready for the big day. “ Once again thanks to Purple Martini Wedding & Event Photography for these photographs. January 16, 2013 at 2:24 amThank you so much for posting these photos! I’ve chosen the same colour scheme, have already purchased similar blue runners but have been having a hard time finding images of how I want my table setting to look like…other than in my imagination!
