“Ben and I wanted to do our personal vows privately, so just before the wedding we escaped to Big Sur to exchange vows over a cliff’s edge.” — April Fritz

” It was important to us that we involve all our friends and family in our ceremony, so we decided to do a ring warming ritual where Ben and I passed our wedding bands around to each person and had them warm the rings with good wishes and love for us. It was such an intimate and moving part of the day.” — April Fritz

“We wanted to work with the architecture of the house and have decorative accents highlight what was already there. The day before the wedding, both of our families came together in full force to execute the entire design concept. Together we DIY’d hanging fairy light jars, signs, florals, name cards, and lights for the reception dinner. A lot of care and love when into building our day.” — April Fritz

“My wedding advice for couples planning their day is to stay flexible and in communication with one another. Be kind. Take breaks from planning to enjoy life. This is just one day out of many that you’ll share together. Try to keep in mind why you’re both doing this. What does this day serve and symbolize for you. And last but not least, make it your own! Do what brings you joy and lights you up.” — April Fritz
