Customizing My Own Sleeves
I had a simple but unique vision in mind for my dream dress and wedding day look, one that I would look back on years later and still love. I opted for a satin ballgown that had subtle details like a thigh-high leg slit and button-down back closure. For a little extra oomph, I had custom sleeves made to finish the look!
I met with the alteration specialist at my local DB to discuss my vision. I re-purposed the fabric from a David’s Bridal little white dress to use for the sleeves. After sharing some inspiration images and sketches, we pinned the fabric into the ideal shape! A few weeks later, I went to pick up my dress and I was SO thrilled with how they turned out. My custom sleeves were my favorite piece of my look.
