Set overlooking a beautiful lake and mountain range, Katelin and Tyler’s rustic western elopement in Wyoming is the inspiration for today’s real wedding! From the photographer: Katelin and Tyler love a good adventure. In their free time, they love to explore the mountains and go hiking and climbing. So naturally when it came to getting married, the two of them (who live in Louisiana) decided that traveling out west would be a way to live out their wedding dreams. They knew eloping by an alpine lake, with jagged mountains as their backdrop, would be the ultimate experience. So they packed up their things, hopped on a flight, and made their way out to Wyoming, where they married each other in the great outdoors, with the mountains standing witness behind them. – Sheena Shahangian Photography LLC
Katelin and Tyler wanted to infuse their personal style into their day, with western touches present throughout. Plume & Furrow crafted a wildflower bouquet for Katelin, with a colorful array of flowers that fit perfectly with the wild landscape of their elopement spot. The two of them wandered through the nearby forest, climbed up boulders, and rock structures. We even witnessed the beginning of an oncoming storm before we ran back to our cars, to get away from the pouring rain. – Sheena Shahangian Photography LLC
One of the things I love about Wyoming, and western culture in general, is how laid back, rustic, and casual it is. It’s a lifestyle that invites you to kick off your boots and be yourselves; to immerse yourself in the adventures of the outdoors.
