Many couples are struggling to find fun and creative ways to host their bachelor and bachelorette parties these days. It’s a time to celebrate and spend quality time with your closest friends…but what happens if you can’t safely gather together in person?
While many bridesmaids and groomsmen have taken to designing their own virtual parties, complete with themes and cocktail kits, we just got word that venues are starting to offer virtual experiences as well!
Take Zingerman’s Cornman Farms, one of Michigan’s top wedding venues. The venue is now offering brides and grooms a virtual bachelor/bachelorette cooking class experience, paired with additional a la carte activities like yoga, cocktail-making, and trivia.
Participants can simply log into Zoom for a 1.5 hour cooking class with the farm’s exuberant English founder and executive chef, Kieron Hales, where they will make a full meal for two.
“The way I see it, nothing brings people together like good food, prepared with love,” says Hales. “What better way to gather your friends and family, wherever they may be, to safely celebrate your bachelor or bachelorette party!”
Cooking class options include:
From the Field: Cheese gougeres, potato gnocchi with pesto sauce, hand-pulled mozzarella, and runny chocolate cake.
Afternoon Tea: Cheese gougeres, flapjack biscuits, shortbread cookies, lemon curd, and tea.
Summer Picnic: French baguette, sweet and savory butter, sausage or mushroom roll, pesto pasta salad, and shortbread cookies.
For those interested in making the occasion into a wedding shower, Hales states that they can also arrange a “drive by” gift drop-off at the farm prior to the cooking class so you can safely greet your guests. To learn more, visit Cornman Farms or email cornmanevents@zingermans.com.
