Often times brides set out to create a DIY style rustic wedding and the bride from this amazing wedding was no different. Taking place on a stunning college campus and surrounded by friends and family this wedding is a beautiful reflection of a country style DIY wedding. From the bride: I have always dreamed of having an outdoor wedding on the campus of Erskine College in my small hometown of Due West, SC. There was a spot sheltered with beautiful Southern trees right in front of the main auditorium that has always been the place where I imagined getting married, and that was one of the first details we lined up after we got engaged! It felt surreal to actually get the venue booked and know that it was really going to happen there. Thanks to our friends and Rustic Wedding Guide members, Revival Photography for sharing this wedding with us today.
I had so much FUN planning our wedding for those eight months! At first, I didn’t really know what “style” I was going for, and even now I’m not sure what it turned out to be…I would tell people it was a rustic-y/French-y/boho-y wedding. I like simple, clean lines, colors, and decor, with lots of natural wood and florals, so we included a lot of those elements in the style.
