Taking place at the beautiful Georgia wedding venue, Sunny D Farms, this amazing wedding is filled with southern charm and country chic details. The couple set out to plan a wedding which was 100% elegant and 100% southern and I think they achieved their vision all the way. From the bride: We decided to continue the theme from our romantic, southern engagement, and began planning an elegant Southern wedding in the country, near the place we both grew up. We only had 8 short months to plan our June 7th wedding so our first step was to hire the lovely ladies of the Funky Shack Team. These ladies are local legends in their own right, and we knew we were in brilliant and capable hands. They were our wedding coordinators, our floral arrangers, our reception designers, and most importantly, they were friends and confidants that we could call on night or day to help us pore over every tiny detail of our wedding day. They made our day beautiful and I owe them so much. Thanks to Paperlilly Photography for sharing this wedding.
In addition to the Funky Shack’s beautiful design, my mother used vintage finds from her antiques business Bebe Moore Designs to put a special, personal touch on the decorations. Vintage typewriters, doctor’s books and bags, and other special details that only my mother would think of contributed to the Funky Shack’s inspired design. My late grandmother’s wedding dress was on display for guests to admire. Vintage photos from our parents’ and grandparents’ weddings adorned our dessert table. Our dessert offerings included a beautiful three-tiered cake and peach cupcakes from Sister’s Sweet Creations, mini-pecan pies, Moon pies, and a tower of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, which Brett picked out for his “groom’s cake”.
