Beauty Tips From Catherine Ianelli: Body Treatments

When you are planning a wedding it is easy to forget about the fact that you need to take care of yourself so that you can look as radient as you feel on the big day. We are so excited to have beauty expert Catherine Ianelli from Farm Couture Living contribute her unique and special insights and recipes for taking care of your skin leading up to your wedding day. FARM COUTURE BODY TREATMENTS

BODY POLISH- Removes dead skin cells, the top layer that looks dry, flaky and dull. It will also remove toxins that the skin does not allow to pass through, as well as dirt and oil. A scrub when massaged against the skin will quickly remove the top layer of dead skin cells.

FARM COUTURE TIP: don’t forget that your skin is your body’s largest organ, and adding a polish to your routine will only increase your health and appearance.

ROSEMARY HONEY MINT BODY POLISH

(makes 1 full size 8oz. jar)

This aromatic gourmet blend of rosemary, peppermint and honey will leave your skin and your senses invigorated and oh so soft!

INGREDIENTS

2 cups of salt or sugar

1 cup of Grapeseed or Almond oil or carrier oil of your choice.

1 to 2 tablespoons of honey, depending on how moist you like your scrub.

8 drops of rosemary essential oil

5 drops of peppermint essential oil

FARM COUTURE TIP: for additional benefits use can grind or sprinkle dried rosemary on the top of the polish for additional fragrance and texture.

DIRECTIONS

1. Using a spoon, stir together salt or sugar with oil in a Mason jar or glass container.

2. Mix in the honey and stir sugar and or salt together until desired consistency.

3. Drop in essential oils, stir until thoroughly mixed.

4. To use, take a warm shower to wet your skin. Massage the body polish into your skin using gentle circular motions until your skin is rosy from the increased circulation.

5. Rinse off under the shower, towel dry and moisturize.

MILK & HONEY BATH SOAK

You can also bathe in milk and honey as milk makes the skin soft, is rich in AHA’s (alpha hyroxy acids), which promote exfoliation, and gives the skin a glowing complexion. Great for the brides that are going to be wearing strap less dresses. and honey nourishes and moisturizes.

MILK & HONEY BATH SOAK RECIPE

2 cups of milk

2 tbls of honey

DIRECTIONS

1. Pour both milk and honey into a warm bath before stepping into the water.

2. Soak for at least 20 minutes. Enjoy!
