I fell in love with this unique rustic style wedding the first time I saw the unforgettable images. This wedding combines a ranch style infused with a little Latin America style theme which together makes for one stunning event. Taking place at a home in California, this wedding showcases just how amazing an outdoor location can look when teamed up with some great rustic wedding DIY projects. From the bride: Our main focus was to host a super fun party where our family and friends could enjoy great company and relax in a beautiful setting. Our vision was making our wedding an absolute representation of us and incorporate our family traditions. Décor and flowers were inspired by the surrounding succulent gardens and rustic wooden home. We kept it simple. We chose to accent the property with up-cycled décor elements inspired by nature (mostly DIY) and vibrant colors inspired by Latin America. September 1, 2013 at 1:00 pm[…] Gabe and I had the best time documenting this wedding at a beautiful private estate in the Santa Cruz mountains. Ashley and Joey are just the sweetest couple, and they poured so much of themselves into their day, from landscaping the grounds, to creating all of the custom diy signs and details, to their ‘you are special’ red dinner plates that Ashley used to eat every birthday meal off of when she was growing up. (I absolutely love that they gave me one of those plates as a gift that day too….told you they were the sweetest!) All of the organic, rustic and latin details added so much character to their wedding day and I’m so excited to see the fruits of their labor featured on Rustic Wedding Chic.
