Just because you are planning a rustic or country wedding does not mean that you have to skimp on the elegance and this bride proves it. This upscale country rustic wedding took place at the South Carolina wedding venue, Middleton Place and features a stunning cream color pallet and subtle details which all together make for one great wedding. From the bride: Will and I live in Illinois but we have family all throughout the United States. We knew we wanted to do a destination wedding; however, choosing the destination was a little tricky than we thought. We finally narrowed it down to Charleston and Savannah. When I discussed locations with my mom and showed her Middleton Place in Charleston, her face had a look of excitement. It turns out my mom and dad honeymooned at Middleton Place 36 years ago. Immediately, Will and I knew we had to get married at Middleton Place. Thanks to Studio 1250 Photography for sharing this wedding with us today.
Middleton Place is a beautiful location and therefore we didn’t want to take away from its natural beauty. We kept the ceremony decor simple and married under a historical willow tree. Our reception was held in the Pavilion where we created a rustic, but chic look. Although we were about 1,000 miles away from “home,” we wanted an intimate feeling for our 55 guests. We had a long rectangular table down the middle of the room which seated the 20 members of our immediate family and round tables for our friends and other family members.Sources – photography: Studio 1250 Photography / venue: Middleton Place / event design: Duvall Events / catering: Duvall Catering / invitation design: Ellas Paper / wedding dress: Nicole Miller / cake design: d’lish / makeup: Dannon K.
