Rustic Wedding In Canada: Jessie + Scott

Planning a wedding in Canada gives you the perfect backdrop for a rustic wedding. Today’s real wedding took place at a resort in Alberta and showcases just how amazing the natural landscape can be. From the bride: The most special details of the big day were the family heirlooms that we snuck into our wedding to ensure our day represented us. I wore heirloom earrings that were owned by my great, great grandmother, and have been worn by the women in my family on their wedding days. Our outdoor ceremony was beautiful with our gorgeous Rocky Mountain view, and live music by our musically inclined friend. During the ceremony, we sealed a vintage wine box with a bottle of great wine, and love letters we wrote to each other. We plan to open this on our 5th wedding anniversary! During a break between the ceremony and reception, our photographer Kelly whisked us away to amazing locations for photos. We were able to drive around in style in our vintage 1952 silver Bentley, complete with a chauffeur! Meanwhile, our guests were snacking on h’orderves and sipping on our signature cocktails. At our reception, we displayed antique wedding photos of our family members at our guestbook table. Guests “typed” their words of wisdom on the grandmother of the groom’s typewriter.
