Rustic Country Wedding Inspiration

I am sure you know about Facebook and Twitter but you might not know about Pinterest…yet. This up and coming social networking site is a bride to be or wedding enthusiasts dream. Planning a wedding is all about seeing example and crafting a vision, remember the days when you used to tare out pictures from wedding magazine and pin them up on your bulletin board, maybe that was just me…anyway, Pinterest is a virtual version of that same bulletin board.

1) Get Pinterest Wedding Ideas: Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.

Recently I was emailing with a newly engaged friend of mine and when I asked what she was thinking about as far as wedding decor, her simple response was, “check out my Pinterest board“. This exchange just reaffirmed the fact that if you are a bride you HAVE to be on Pinterest!

One of the major benefits of Pinterest is that you can follow your favorite wedding brands, like Rustic Wedding Chic and “repin” all of their wedding ideas. By creating your own boards you can start to organize the many sections of your wedding, which will allow you to start to see how your wedding ideas are taking shape. I know that planning a wedding or talking about wedding ideas usually involves your girlfriends, bridesmaids, mother and others all sharing ideas, with Pinterest your wedding support group can “pin” ideas they want you to see and you can “pin” ideas you want them to see. Not only can your friends see your pins but they can also comment on your pins which is a great way to get instant feedback.

Think about all of main areas you have to plan for your wedding: venue, invitations, attire, decor, cake, the list goes on and on but you can make a board for each of these categories and slowly your vision will start to take shape. Pinterest makes it easy to search so you can find the inspiration you are looking for. You can search for pins, boards or people. Say you are looking for things for your outdoor wedding you can search that exact term and you will find everyone who named their pin “outdoor wedding” or if you search boards you will get a list of everyone who has a board named “outdoor weddings” or you can track down people that you may want to follow. One of my favorite things about Pinterest is how creative people get with their boards. In any given day you can see boards like Nautical Wedding, Wedding Hairstyles and  Urban Wedding Ideas.

Pinterest also allows you to post your “pins” to your other social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter and they make it easy for you to send an email of an image you like. Head on over and check it out but be careful it is very addictive.
