Taking place at a California rustic wedding venue called Circle Oak Ranch Weddings, this wedding has us dreaming of hosting an outdoor rustic chic wedding as well. From the bride: Growing up in Texas, I always dreamt of a big southern wedding. Dancing, family, BBQ- all were must haves on the list for my wedding when I grew up. When I found myself living in San Diego at the time I got engaged to my Southern California born and raised fiance, I knew my wedding might differ slightly from the Texan ball I had always imagined. While most people got married with the sand in their toes or in an elaborate hotel ballroom in San Diego, I was on the hunt for a venue that would elicit my childhood dreams. Thanks to Next to Me Studios for sharing this lovely rustic wedding with us today.
As a child who knew every color in the 120 count box of Crayola crayons, I was very specific about my color theme. I wanted hues of blush pink, yet on the ballet pink side of the spectrum. I was inspired to pick these colors from my childhood love of ballet and dance, and walking around exploring the venue on our first visit it seemed like the perfect color as I envisioned myself whirling around dancing with my future husband. I have always loved antiques, and my mother collected a set of depression glass in the same hue. Coupled with this memory, my style vision was the soft romanticism of antiques couple with rustic charm. I also wanted to pull in elements of a vineyard, as my husband and I got engaged at a winery in Napa.
