Vintage Inspired Southern Wedding

Vintage Style Wedding Bridesmaids

This amazing rustic yet vintage style wedding took place at Cauley Square which is a Florida rustic wedding venue and features a beautiful vintage style location. This wedding has so many vintage wedding DIY items to it that I think it actas as the perfect inspiration for anyone thinking of hosting a similar type of wedding event. From the bride: We had 8 months to plan our wedding, and it was the perfect amount of time. Andy and I are both into the vintage lifestyle and that is what we wanted our wedding to reflect. I had secretly planned my wedding my whole life, so i had a set vision of what i wanted our wedding to look like. Thanks to Julia Arielle Cox at Darling Juliet Photography for sharing this stunning wedding with us today.

I knew I wanted to create my own bouquet, because it was something I could keep forever. With fabric, hot glue, and a whisk, i created my dream bouquet which also matched Andy’s boutonniere. I wanted the groomsmen  boutonnieres & bridesmaids bouquet to match, so i made them both using different sizes of felt hearts. The arch was also made by us. We gathered things around Andy’s moms house and we put it all together in one day. It came out perfect. We also used the arch for the reception as the cake backdrop, by just adding a few peach organza ribbons to it.

We knew we wanted a lot DIY things to make it unique and to help my parents save money. I quickly became the wedding planner and Andy became my right hand man. We set forth by picking what was most important to us. With a little bit of research we finally narrowed down the list. We knew we wanted to give every guest their own mason jar with a chalkboard name tag, as well a red & white striped paper straw.

I love your bouquet! I’m planning to make a similar one for my wedding. Any advice on diy fabric bouquets?

I love the play on red and blue, in this case light salmon and eggshell blue. Or is it Tiffany blue. This very palette seems rather popular these days. The rustic venue lends itself well to the palette also. I had a friend who did rustic in much same palette. She had eggs from a neighbor’s Easter chickens and dyed them the same colors as her wedding venue deco palette. Where’s the bride’s dress from? I can find it in the text. Stunning, however.
