Since the holiday season is one of the most popular seasons to get engaged we thought we would pull together a list of rustic, fun and romantic places to pop the big question. We have become somewhat like proposal experts over here at RWC since believe it or not we get emails from grooms-to-be asking for location advice. My own proposal was simple and sweet and not in a rustic or romantic spot at all (it was in the living of our first house) so I guess part of me is living out some sort of girlhood fantasy when I get to give out location advice! Check out all of our Rustic Engagement Pictures to help give you a few more ideas.
1. A Cabin By A Lake
Being totally alone in a cabin is like a scene out of a romantic movie but think about how amazing it would be to be totally alone for this amazing moment. No family cabin to head off to? Think about renting a small cabin, many resorts offer cabin rentals.
2. In The Middle Of A Field
Being surrounded by nature may be the perfect spot for you and your future spouse to start the next chapter of your life.

3. A Carnival
okay, this location might be a little on the cheesy side but I also think it is a fun spot. I often think about the summer carnivals that used to take place in the small midwest town where I go for the summer and there is a childhood nostalgia that goes along with a place like this.

4. In The Rain
The idea of proposing in the rain may be stolen from about 100 different movies but there is a reason why movies decide to add this romantic feeling into their screenplay, its the ultimate romantic moment. Now, you might not be able to manufacture this moment unless you keep checking the forecast but sometimes the moment just happens.

5. In A Rowboat
This idea takes me back to a time when couples actually did go out and do romantic adventures like rowing a boat.

6. Wrapped Up In A Blanket
This picture just is the epitome of romance. Think about heading out to a field or a planning a picnic, getting cozy and popping the question.

7. On A Snowy Street At Night
If this picture does not connivence you that a snow covered street is romantic then I don’t know what would.
