At the end of each year we compile all of our favorite weddings from the past year on Rustic Wedding Chic and I have to say that this wedding will make the top of the list without a doubt. Filled with elegant details and a rustic backdrop this wedding is just amazing. From the bride: The wedding took place outside with the iconic Lake Tahoe as the backdrop. We wanted the wedding to showcase all of the natural elements of the Lake and not overpower or overshadow them. The colors we chose were naturals, whites, champagnes, silvers and small touches of pinks. The bridal party was, to say the least, huge. With 14 bridesmaids and 16 groomsmen, we had an army. The decor was simple yet elegant – we wanted “classy not stuffy”. Florals were tons of greenery, whites and again, touches of pink. Lighting was a huge deal for me. I wanted as much string lights and candles as possible. I felt it made the occasion feel more intimate. Thanks to Tim Halberg Photography and event planner, Merrily Wed for sharing this wonderful rustic chic wedding with us today.
Having 14 bridesmaids created a great opportunity for me to play with color and add to the overall feel. All bridesmaids were able to pick their dress with only a two guidelines – the dress had to be floor length and in the color scheme of pink, grey, champagne or metallic. The outcome was fantastic! Even better than if I selected it myself.
Another fun touch we added was the “Man Bar”. This was a self-serve bar station with tons of manly libations to choose, along with cigars from Nicaragua. This was a huge hit with the gents…and lots of ladies too!
