Rustic Wedding at Burnside Plantation: Jessie + Paul

We can’t get enough of this charming vintage inspired wedding. We were blown away to find out that the bride did all of the decorations, plates, flowers, silverware holders, cookie bar, games, bride and groom table and chairs, in addition to all center pieces and table decoration. We especially one all of the handmade bunting strung throughout the venue. From the Bride : The day I married my best friend was the single most wonderful day of my life. For years I had wondered what this day would bring. Who would fill the chairs? What decorations would we make? What song would we share as I walked down the aisle to greet my one true love? Would the sun warm our faces? Or would the rain try to dampen our day? Would I cry when my Daddy gave me away? And would we all dance like there was no tomorrow? I did not have the typical “princess” wedding vision in my head which many dream of when they are a little girl. Instead we wanted an understated yet charming feel. A day which may not have had all the glitz and the glam but where you could see the love we shared pouring from everywhere you looked. We wanted a place where our families could enjoy the beautiful day we were given. A place where old friends could sit by a fire roasting marshmallows, or where new friends could take a stroll to the cookie bar and chat. Our wedding day was like no other day we had ever had. The emotions were high, there were nerves, tears of joy, and tears of sadness for those who were not with us to share, there was laughter, there was jitters, there was heart pounding, and most importantly there was an over abundance of joy and love. They day of or dreams all came together with the help of our magnificent family and friends who helped us bring in our homemade decorations to truly bring the rustic barn venue to life. Everywhere you turned there was a piece of Paul and I and the journey we made to get to our special day. After all of the work and preparation were through and our day began to unfold, the love we had for each other surrounded us and our dream wedding came true.
