Sometimes a wedding calls for just a slightly different style than the norm. This super chic wedding is truly a one-of-a-kind event where the bride and groom hosted a small and private wedding ceremony and an open wedding cocktail party for their friends! From the bride: We knew we wanted a very private ceremony that included immediate family only so we set out to find a romantic setting to capture that intimacy. However we were torn on also including some of our closest friends as well; so we compromised by having a private ceremony and afterwards an open house cocktail reception and dance. We wanted to find a venue that had a romantic feel to it and the space to accommodate around 100 people for the reception after the ceremony. When we first discovered Bonterra Trattoria we fell in love with the garden terrace and the rustic interior of the restaurant. Not to mention the food was absolutely outstanding. We immediately knew this was where we wanted to get married. Thanks to Anne-Claire Brun for sharing this amazing wedding with us today.
When it came to deciding where to get our flowers, it was pretty much a no brainer. Dereck has always used one florist in particular when surprising me with flowers and every time they have been stunning and unique. It was only natural to use Al Franches Flowers as our florist. Al did an amazing job of creating beautiful centre pieces in blush and ivory tones with baby’s breath for added softness. My sister in law had various sizes of old mason jars around so we decided to use those as our vases, she also owns a scrap booking store so she tediously created the name cards for each of the tables.
