This wedding is one of my favorites in the past few weeks due in large part to the rustic wedding DIY projects this couple added to their backyard style wedding. I love the way the couple used wood as display pieces like the way they did for their menu display and for to showcase their name and wedding date. This wedding really is a testament to just how amazing a backyard can look when transformed into a wedding destination. From the bride: We had four requirements for our wedding: I wanted an outdoor wedding, Jimmy wanted little restrictions, and we both wanted a big laid-back party with our family and friends but not spend a fortune. When my parents offered their home, we knew it would be perfect. Thanks to Brightwood Photography for sharing this beautiful wedding with us today.
Jimmy suggested that we theme our wedding around our chosen careers (culinary and construction) and had an idea for a logo. We had a friend design a logo for us crossing a knife and a hammer, and we tried to incorporate the logo and things associated with our careers in small details throughout the wedding. It really made it more personal for the both of us to include the things we are most passionate about.
