We have shown you how to make baby’s breath wreathes but we also love the babes breath globes that we have seen in some real weddings recently. The technique is the same, but there are a few little tricks we want to show you! Have fun!
What You’ll Need : Foam Globes / Ribbon / Flora Wire / Scissors / Baby’s Breath / Water
First, soak the foam globes so that they are saturated with water.
Then take a length of floral wire and twist it tightly around the globe, leaving a loop at the top. Don’t pull too hard or it will cut right through the foam!
Then, trim a pile of sprigs of baby’s breath all the same length. We recommend about 2-3 inches max.
Press the sprigs into the globe so that they are sticking straight out from the center.
Start in one place and move out from there, maintaining a consistent density.
Turn the globe as you go, working on a countertop. You may want to balance the globe on a tin can or cup.
When you get to the other side you will most likely want to use a tin can or cup to support the globe without crushing the side you have finished.
Once you have the entire globe covered, look over it to see if there are any gaps you may have missed.
Take a length of ribbon long enough to hang the globe and secure it to the loop at the top of the globe.
Then hang in your desired place!
If you want to make multiple sizes or use them throughout your wedding as decor, you can also use larger globes with longer sprigs of baby’s breath.
Here is an example of a babies breath and tin can centerpiece that could add to an industrial rustic decor and tie into the hanging globes!
