I just adore outdoor weddings and this one taking place at a Pennsylvania wedding venue is just stunning. From the photographer: Emily and Dan’s big day was truly beautiful. A beautiful horse farm was the perfect backdrop for this sweet, rustic, DIY wedding infused with hand-made and vintage details. The couple did such an amazing job creating and curating all the details that were incorporated into their day. From the mini honey bears with honey from a local apiary that served as seating cards to the beautiful wooden ceremony box that the groom made in which the couple placed love letters in during the ceremony along with a bottle of wine to be opened on their first anniversary, there were so many touching details that made the day so uniquely them. Thanks to Harper Parker Photography for sharing this one-of-a-kind wedding!
From the bride: Dan and I met for the first time in third grade! We were friends throughout high school, and even played drums in the marching band together (we were pretty cool!). Although we admitted later we both always had a little crush on one another, we were consistently dating other people. We lost touch throughout college, but a year after graduation ended up at the same Christmas party in our hometown. We had a great time catching up over eggnog, exchanged numbers, and the transition from friends to more-than-friends was a quick and easy one for us!
Charming Creek Farm was the perfect venue for Dan & I. The scenery was breathtaking – rolling pastures dotted with horses, a refinished barn and landscaped courtyard, and plenty of space for people to roam. The owners were so flexible with our ideas, and treated us like old friends when we came to look at the venue. Our ceremony was simple but sweet. Dan’s father played acoustic guitar and sang for our ceremony. Dan built the arch we got married under, which was a special touch.
