From the groom: Ten years ago we very quickly and very passionately fell in love with each other. We were only 20 and 21 years old at the time and after a month, we decided to get an apartment and move in together. After 3 months, we were engaged with a hand me down ring. After 11 months, we were married to each other. Since then, the love we share has grown, changed, and become something that is greater than the sum of its parts. We now have 3 beautiful children and a house in the ‘burbs. Life can get hectic sometimes but overall, it’s the good life we’ve built for each other. Thanks to The Picture Cottage for sharing this shoot with us today!
Don’t get us wrong, our wedding was great. It was a big affair with lots of family attending and it was our chance to declare our love for each other to the world in a big, loud way. After ten years of good times, hard times and all those in between, we’ve realized that the love we share is ours and we don’t need to validate it with another big affair. We wanted to focus our attention solely on the person for whom we built this good life for and celebrate our ten year anniversary together.
