My Watters Wedding Gown

Many brides have asked to see a few pictures of my wedding gown which as you might know came from Watters and is style 1079B. The original style comes with a ribbon sash which I did not wear and also is strapless which thanks to a great seamstress I had beautiful lace straps added by ordering an extra yard of lace when I placed the order for my gown. One other major alteration that I made was to have the back of the dress cut into a V shape. Shopping for a wedding gown is a very personal experience and the best advice I can give is try on EVERYTHING and dresses from different designers and at all different price points. I tried on dresses from Carolina Herrera, Vera Wang, Monique Lhuillier among others and while they were all beautiful none of them felt right and I was having a hard time imagining they would fit seamlessly into my wedding location which was at my family’s summer home in a small town in Northern Wisconsin. In the end it was Watters dress style 1079B that stole my heart!Vendors – Gown: Watters Style 1079B / photography: D Charles Photography
