Taking place just one hour from Chicago, this amazing farm wedding looks like the perfect country event! Taking place at the Illinois wedding venue, Heritage Prairie Farm, this wedding showcases effortless beauty and endless charm. From the bride: While thinking about wedding venues, it was important to us that we found somewhere that really felt like “us”. Somewhere we could envision celebrating with all of our friends and family. After visiting multiple Chicago loft venues, we felt overwhelmed by all of the costs and planning involved. We then found the perfect laid-back farm venue in Elburn and immediately fell in love. The farm has an in-house coordinator, as well as a day-of coordinator, which made planning super easy, fun, and definitely stress-free. Heritage Prairie Farm offered us everything we needed and more and truly allowed us to personalize our entire wedding. Thanks to Angela Renée Photography for sharing this lovely wedding today.
Since Heritage Prairie Farm is a USDA Certified organic farm, we did not have to bring in our own food and drink. We worked with the farm chef to completely customize our food and drink menus. We had everything from a chicken and waffle passed appetizer, to a fresh green salad, mac and cheese, and herb & garlic grilled chicken. Desserts were lovingly baked by dear friends and family, as well as A cutting cake. We served two signature cocktails; a Moscow mule, and a honey bourbon old fashioned. We also had a few house wines and then beer from our favorite local brewery, Penrose, where we hosted our rehearsal dinner the night before.
