Rich beautiful fall colors, elegant wedding details and a stunning couple are just a few of the details that you are going to fall in love with from this wedding. Getting married on a piece of family property, Sara and Ryan tied the knot in a breathtaking outdoor ceremony followed by a stunning rustic chic celebration. Love this wedding and want to see more Fall Rustic Weddings– see all of our seasonal weddings now. From the bride: My husband and I were married this past October, 10.04.14, near Shawano, Wisconsin. We are high school sweethearts and we were dating ten years prior to our wedding! We enjoyed a long engagement due to my school commitments, but it gave us plenty of time to create, plan and prepare. We knew we wanted a relaxed and rustic theme and overtime our vision evolved into rustic elegance with some vintage touches. We knew we were going to get married at “The Land” which is land my family owns and a pretty special place to us and my family – it’s where my great-grandparents lived, where our family hunts and makes maple syrup and where we have countless family memories. Thank you to a.lentz photography for sharing this amazing wedding with us today.
Ryan and I enjoyed collecting and creating many of the items for our wedding ourselves with much help from our family and friends. So much of our big day was a labor of love – my dad made the arbor we were married under and many of the other wood elements, I beaded a sash with lace from my mom’s wedding dress, created a display of old family photos and our entire family helped out to make and bottle maple syrup for our wedding favors. Rings from my grandmothers, the sash, my dress, my veil and a heart cut from my dad’s blue jeans made up my something old, new, borrowed and blue. We took a risk with the fall weather and opted to keep our ceremony outdoors so our guest were able to enjoy the scenery that means so much to me and my husband. While the day was cool and misty our friends and family were troopers, bundling up and bringing umbrellas to stay by our sides and support us during our wedding ceremony! Everything came together so well with the help of many and truly reflected us! Our big day was so much more than we could have expected and we were so grateful for all of the love and support we received surrounding the start of our marriage.
