Stop what you are going and start taking notes because this wedding is nothing short of amazing. Filled with personal details and some of the most hip rustic wedding decoration. All of us here at Rustic Wedding Chic are crushing on each and every detail from this event! Ashley and Chris got married right on the street of Pioneertown, with the charming wooden buildings and a custom made triangle with macrame weaving, serving as a backdrop. The couple wanted all their friends and family to be a part of the ceremony, so their guests sat in a circle surrounding them. Before the wedding, Ashley and Chris wrote each of their guests a personalized letter, sealed in an envelope. At a certain point in the ceremony, guest were asked to open their cards, where they got to read their messages from the couple. It was a beautiful moment, in a stunning location, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd. Thanks to Martin Franco Vielma and Going Steady Studio for sharing this truly amazing wedding with us.
The ceremony was held at the historic Pappy and Harriets, where we continued the desert decor with cactus and native plants, string backdrops, feather banners, and wooden triangle table numbers similar to their ceremony backdrop. Madhouse Kitchen made the miniature pie desserts and Young Hearts kept the crowd dancing as the moon rose above the desert landscape.
Before the ceremony, each guest was instructed to find the envelope with their name on it and not to open it. As a part of the ceremony, guests were instructed to open their envelope and read their letter. Chris and I spend many weeks sitting down together to handwrite these letters that expressed our gratitude and love in a personal note. It was our way of including everyone in our day and recognizing the meaning that they have in our life together. Overall, it was overwhelming to write these personal notes and to see our guest open them, but it was worth everything.
Our ceremony was set in the center of a dusty road in Pioneertown among a gorgeous desert landscape–our family and friends seated in our unity circle. My uncle married us and we expressed an overwhelming twelve years of love in our personal vows.
