Rachel and Josh were married on a rainy summer day in June. Their twenties themes wedding was perfectly situated on the grounds of an old farmhouse. From the floral wallpaper to the glistening front porch, this venue was a beautiful and perfect choice! We love the picture of the bride and groom dancing in the rain at the end of their wedding reception! What could be more romantic! Their yellow and grey color palette was perfectly echoed by their wedding day which went back and forth between rain and sun. From the bride : We met quite a few times before we decided to get to know each other. When I was in 6th grade Josh’s mother was my young life leader. Every thursday night she would have a big group of girls my age over to her house for small group and every week we would all swoon over how handsome her older son was. In high school my mother was a real estate agent and worked closely with Josh’s mom, who was a mortgage broker, but it wasn’t until a few years after I was out of high school that I officially met Josh. He was 3 and a half years older then I was so I figured he wouldn’t really notice me, but we started to become very close friends. After a while I was fed up with just being friends, so I made the first move, and told Josh how I felt. Now the rest is history. From the moment I stepped foot in the venue I knew it was the one, I have always loved old houses and old things and it was exactly what I had always imagined. Inspired by the gorgeous venue we decided to have a 1920s theme for our wedding. Our thanks to Meredith McKee Photography for these stunning wedding photographs!
