I love being able to introduce you to interesting bloggers who can contribute something special to Rustic Wedding Chic. I am pleased to feature Sara of Burnett’s Boards as one of our guest bloggers!
Rustic and handmade, homemade weddings go hand in hand, so I combed Etsy (I’d like to say for hours, but it was more like days…) to find the cutest rustic wedding details I could and create an inspiration board from them just for you. All of the items in this inspiration board are shop-able and affordable, allowing you to pick and choose from the best out there to create your gorgeous rustic wedding.
The dried flower bouquet in the inspiration board is from The Flower Patch and this was probably my most major Etsy find. I ordered one for myself just to keep around because they are so pretty and will last forever. I mean seriously, how cute are they? You could use dried flowers as centerpieces and let guests take them home at the end of your wedding (or keep them for your house, which is what I would probably do).
Having a cute bridal gown hanger is key to avoid the dreaded ‘ugly plastic hanger shot ghost’ that I’ve seen haunting Pinterest every now and then. The one pictured in the inspiration board is from Morgann Hill Designs’s Etsy store, Braggin Bags, and has a shabby chic vibe that will work perfectly with your country styled wedding dress. Among the many things that I fell in love with there was this advice box with wooden hearts – now that’s a rustic guestbook if I’ve ever seen one!
Bridal accessories are always fun and the silk blossoms belt pictured in the inspiration board from Mignonne Handmade is a stunner. Another extra special touch I love to see are shoe clips! And the best part about them is that whenever you wear them again after your wedding, you’ll think of your amazing day.
Floral crown headbands are a must for rustic weddings and I love the one from Flora Bond in the inspiration board. If you’re wearing for a veil have your flower girls wear floral head bands, they’ll love to play ‘dress up’ with them after the wedding. The little pink one the flower girl pictured below is darling!
Burlap – we all know that this stuff rocks a rustic wedding like a champ. Handmade burlap chair bows are available from The Rustic Raven, and burlap Mr & Mrs cake toppers from Smiling Green Apples. Distressed and vintage looking clothespins are another great rustic wedding touch I found at Smiling Green Apple and would be perfect for attaching escort cards to.
And last, but certainly not least, we can’t leave out the mason jars! They are rustic wedding superstars – you’ve just got to have them. Remind your guests of their rustically good time and thank them for coming with adorable woodgrain and hand stamped mason jar cards from Dona Lee’s. Even better, start the vibe off right with these mason jar save the dates! (Isn’t the heart on the envelope the sweetest thing!?)
All photos and styles are courtesy of the individual Etsy vendors listed above. Please contact them directly for more information on their product.
