This rustic style Ohio wedding was a true DIY style wedding with the bride doing most of the projects. This real rustic wedding features a beautiful outdoor ceremony and an outdoor wedding reception to follow. From the bride: From the handmade W placed on the fireplace to the chalkboard stickers on the mason jars we were crazy about the DIY projects. We were very drawn to the rustic and vintage theme, one of Ross’ request were that everyone drink from a mason jars. The first venue we visited was the one, Meadowood Centre, it’s a large rustic barn from the 1820’s with beautiful features such as the large fire place we had our first dance in front of.
If I had any advice for future couples planning their big day, I would say first to enjoy the planning. I was so fortunate to be able to prepare for our day with my family and friends. My mom and I went to every antique shop and flea market in the area looking for the right cake plates and unique vases for our center pieces. Also have a first glance, neither Ross nor I were sold on seeing each other before the ceremony until meeting with our photographer. I’m so glad that we decided to do it, not only did we get amazing shots from that moment but it was great to be able to spend time together before the ceremony and calm our nerves.
