Rustic Apple Orchard Wedding : Kristin & Shawn

Kristin and Shawn Had a beautiful and charming rustic wedding at the Weston Red Barn Farm in Weston, MO. From the photographer : The atmosphere was relaxed, and guests enjoyed classic Kansas City BBQ and traditional down home sides for dinner under the lights in the open air barn room. Kristin did all the decorating herself, with the help of her family and Bridesmaids. This was truly a family affair, full of love and joyful celebration. They said their vows under the sun overlooking the rolling hills of the property. Apple orchards surrounded the guests as they witness the ceremony. Noteworthy details include vintage hankies for guests to dry their tears (which there were a lot of!), deep plum colors incorporated with the Bridesmaids dresses, table linens, and bouquets. White roses and hydrangeas in milk glass adorned the long barn tables, and vintage wooden folding chairs lined the tables. A beautiful ceremony backdrop was designed by Kristin and her family, they used white shutters and plum curtains to create this beautiful alter piece. From the Bride: I wanted our guests to feel at home. I wanted them to feel comfortable, have fun, and enjoy themselves while still maintaining a pretty aspect to the decor. The venue allowed me to use many DIY elements within the decor, and I think it turned out exactly as I had wanted.
