Rustic Lakeside Wedding

This amazing lakeside rustic wedding took place at an unusual rustic location yet a beautiful one, a New England prep school. This wedding proves how looking outside of the routine wedding venue locations can result in a beautiful location. I love the purple wedding flowers and how they work with the dark color bridesmaid dresses perfectly. From the bride: We planned our entire wedding together, which made not just the day itself but the entire process of being married about the two of us. Stefan and I met singing together in a chapel choir and music and the church are central to our relationship, so the ceremony was particularly important to us. We spent hours narrowing down the hymns and anthems for the service and dozens of our friends sang during the ceremony. We were married by my parent’s goddaughter, my brother-in-law celebrated communion, and one of our groomsmen composed music for the service. Thanks to DreamLove Photography for sharing this wedding with us today. We wanted our wedding day to be graceful but not too formal and for our guests to relax and enjoy celebrating with us. We found a venue right on Wolfeboro Bay with stunning natural beauty so we didn’t have to do much to dress it up. Brewster let us direct all of the details of our reception and were fortunate to work with the Executive Chef to collaborate on a menu that featured lots of local, seasonal produce and my favorite snack – kettle corn. There are so many highlights of the reception: the table overflowing with cookies made by our family and friends, playing ladderball with my husband, a beautiful blessing by my grandfather, the dance floor being packed, our sparkler send-off…we loved it all and I’ve never felt so surrounded by love and joy!
