Elegant, rustic and beautiful are the three words I would select to describe this wedding. This amazing wedding took place in the naturally beautiful state of New Mexico and offers several decor ideas that I know you brides out there are going to want to copy! From the bride: Our wedding took place at Los Poblanos in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The decorations were all handmade – from hanging lightbulb vases to wooden dessert stands made by the groom and his brothers. It had a rustic, yet elegant feel. We exchanged wedding letters before the ceremony, which I am so glad we did. We were able to get pictures together without seeing each other and spoiling the moment of walking down the aisle. The wedding invitations were designed by myself. Thanks to Jamie Clifford Photography for sharing this wedding with us today.

November 19, 2012 at 11:29 amcould you tell me more about how he went about making the tree slices? I am wanting to do the same for my wedding in Ruidoso in August, but am not sure where to begin.

November 20, 2012 at 2:37 pmWe had a family friend who had just cut down a large tree in their yard. So my husband and his brothers just cut slices off it with a chain saw. To make the dessert stands, they just used wood glue to fasten the slices together. I think they may have also reinforced them with screws for the three tiered stands. Hope that helps!
