This elegant but simple wedding took place on a mountaintop in Tennessee with the beautiful backdrop of the Smokey Mountains. The reception was in the lodge rented for all the guests to stay. Many aspects were DIY with the bride and her bridesmaids making the bouquets, boutonniere’s and cakes. The photographer (also a close friend and bridesmaid) shared this about the ceremony: Once we arrived the hunt for a location for the ceremony began. Oh that’s right, she had no location yet. We found a barn on a hill and asked the man if we could use his property and he said yes! We brought rocking chairs from the cabin for seating and that was that. She knew she wanted to keep it simple, no real decorations just the mountains. Although simple, every aspect of this country mountain wedding is brimming with lovely thoughtful details and decorations like the “Good Wishes” tree and thank you notes on the welcome bags. Thanks to Christina Karst Photography for sending us this very special (and personal) wedding. See more mountain weddings here.
