The details of this western style wedding really blew us away. From the save the date handkerchiefs to the pinecone name cards, not to mention the canned goods and succulent bouquets, every touch added to the impeccable and unique style of this wedding. From the Bride : When Brandon and I first got engaged, we envisioned our wedding in a barn or at a farm with a huge field, a pig roast, and our guests camping. After talking to our families, we realized we needed to rethink and compromise. Brandon and I had a lot of family flying in from all over, and we needed to make their visit to Ohio as painless as possible. So we all agreed that ceremony, reception and lodging in one spot was key! … We didn’t get married in a barn. However, we all wore cowboy boots and had amazing pictures under a covered bridge. Music was super important, and a big part of our night and we had great friends that we could trust to run that part of the show. My mom put her time and love into all the canned items for everyone to enjoy. And my amazing friend Andrea helped make all of the paper goods. I could go to her with any crazy idea and she would figure out how to design and make it happen… Our close friend Billy Radin married us, and convinced us to pick out poems to read to each other. Brandon read Song of the Open Road by Walt Whitman. And I read Love by Roy Croft. At their western themed reception, instead of cake, they served their favorite desert, drumstick ice cream cones and had a homemade photo booth with a polaroid camera. Guests were asked to write a message on bottom and pin to a cork board. The brides mother canned a variety of items which were used as center pieces and favors for the guests. Canned items included salsa, lavender jelly, pickled garlic, dilly beans, peppers & onions, chutney, and zucchini relish.
