This charming country wedding took place at the 1824 House Inn in Vermont. Jenny and Daniel chose Vermont wanting a beautiful location for family and friends to enjoy. Jenny shared with us some insights into the theme and design ideas for the wedding decor. “The vintage travel theme starts with my paternal grandfather’s suitcase that he used on his first day of college (1932), an engagement ring from maternal grandparents (1944) and Daniel’s father’s college pocket watch (1974). We ended up using Granddaddy’s suitcase for our guests to leave their cards. Our guest book was pieces of vintage quilting fabric for our guests to write their good wishes. The pieces will be sewn into a quilt and we will be able to blanket ourselves in our family and friends love. Each reception table represented a place that we have traveled to or lived, and there were two sets of books on each table that signified the city or place. I wanted the dinner to feel like a meal you would share to celebrate a harvest, so we staged the reception in a restored barn with farm-to-table food and vintage berry baskets filled with strawberries and cherries. The flowers and bouquets and the beautiful butterflies where the most vibrant colors of nature.” Thanks to Jaclyn Schmitz Photography for sharing this colorful, country wedding.
