We were absolutely stunned by the fresh vintage style of Ashleigh and Devin’s wedding! The blush tones and floral decor were perfectly paired for a beautiful effect. From the Photographer : Ashleigh and Devin’s connection began in the most unexpected way. Devin had lost his sister Caitlin years ago and had heard that Ashleigh had also lost her younger sister. When he asked Ashleigh about her sister on their first date, she shared that her name was Katelynn. In that moment, they realized that God brought them together so they could understand each other in a way that no one else could. They shared in a grief of one of the greatest losses anyone could experience, and together they could overcome their pain. Although their wedding day was very much about Ashleigh and Devin’s love, there were so many details paying tribute to their sisters. Katelynn’s favorite color was purple, so Ashleigh had a purple ribbon tied around her bouquet with her sister’s ring attached. Devin wore pink socks in honor of his sister’s favorite color. They had a special table devoted to remembering both of their sisters, carrying their memory with them on their wedding day. Ashleigh and Devin had so many beautiful handmade details on their wedding day. Ashleigh’s aunt is a florist and created beautiful florals for the event. Ashleigh’s cousin custom-made their invitations. Devin wore his father’s vintage tie. A beautiful ribbon display adorned their ceremony site and there were touches of pale pink, beautiful florals, and adorable bunting everywhere you turned. The couple wrote and recorded an original song and gave out custom CDs as a wedding favor. Ashleigh comes from a big Italian family so they served cannolis in addition to wedding cake. Our thanks to Rebekah Hoyt Photography for bringing this wedding to Rustic Wedding Chic!
