More and more couples are choosing to do a “first look” at their wedding in an effort to get great wedding shots and not be so pressed for time post wedding ceremony. This amazing vintage chic wedding showcases some of the finest first look images I have seen in a long time and it does not hurt that I am totally in love with the bride dress and overall wedding day look. From the bride: I wanted our wedding day to feel as natural and relaxed as possible. Nathan and I are laid back and very outdoorsy. We wanted our day to reflect just that. I found a simple maxi dress that was comfortable and inexpensive. Nathan made his bow tie and my flower crown and bouquet were from Mueller’s Flowers in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. My sister who works for Brooke Courtney Photography was able to capture our first look and shoot our bridal portraits.
Liz from Brooke Courtney Photography gives us some behind the scenes info from the shoot: I was very excited to shoot my sister and new brother in law’s first look/ bridal portraits! This as inspiration for low budget brides to realize you don’t have to spend a lot of money to look great on your wedding day! My sister, Meghan found an inexpensive maxi dress and dressed it up with a gorgeous flower crown from Mueller’s Flower Shop! Her groom, Nathan made his own bow tie and they tied the knot in my Aunt’s back yard. First off, what an amazing experience to have your own sister shooting some of your wedding images and secondly, I love the fact this couple took some budget items (like the dress) and made it wedding day ready with a stunning floral crown. Thinking of having flowers in your hair for your wedding than you need to check out these inspirational shots here.
