Get ready to be wowed by this stunning wedding inspiration filled with color and romance. From the photographer: I love a styled shoot with a real life couple because I believe in true love! Our models are one of my future Brandy Hill couples and their wedding is this October (I can’t wait!). Brandy Hill Farm is a fantastic new barn venue in Virginia. I was very excited to work with a large team of talented vendors on this shoot. The inspiration and color palette for this shoot is based on the work of Edgar Degas. I wanted to use the more vibrant colors in Degas’ palette rather than the traditional pale pastels of ballet themed shoots. These colors can really showcase a rustic/glam wedding in a larger barn venue. A big thank you to Lieb Photographic for sharing this wonderful inspiration with us today.
This talented team of vendors used genuine antique found goods to create the feeling of the “old masters” while combining with fresh florals, edibles and a cake that compliments the modern bride. The details of the updos, the dramatic eyes and even many of the poses mimic the feel of Degas’ dancers, thanks to Bobbypins and Blush. The incredible jewelry details from Suz Somersall provide the perfect addition to the Impressionist inspiration. The exquisite invitations and stationery were designed by Ellie Cho of Tuesday Playground. They tie everything together to create the perfect palette.
The hand made farm table provided by Logan Powell of Real Southern Accents provides a rustic, yet refined canvas for a tablescape with vintage china and found objects including the incredible vintage leather chairs. Even the antique sweetheart table creates a private little nook for the couple to enjoy the view of the venue with lovely dramatic draping provided by designer Abby Lenon of Ava Laurenne Places.
The layers of Gateau’s three tiered cake each reflect the feel of the shoot…the ruffled bottom, the vintage lace middle and the watercolor top layer all work in unison with the vision.
