Tennessee Mountain Rustic Wedding

east-tennessee-country-wedding

There really is nothing as special as a wedding where the bride and groom collectively pour all of their creative energy. This beautiful rustic wedding took place in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee and as the bride describes plays tribute to their roots, their family members and the people and items they love the most. Thanks to Gabby Dalton Photography for sharing this wedding with us today.

From the bride: The goal of our wedding was to honor our upbringing in rural Tennessee by incorporating items that represent that: rolling farmland, rustic barns, mason jars, lace, burlap, wildflowers, rocking chairs, my grandmother and great great grandmother’s pearl necklaces, my grandfather’s antique car, family photos, and most of all love! Much of the decorations incorporated into the wedding were DIY with the loving help of family and friends.  We wanted every detail of our wedding to be personal and represent us.  We chose the venue, Sampson’s Hollow in Walland, Tennessee, because it embodied the rustic vintage theme that I envisioned for our wedding.  The mountains and wildflowers were the perfect backdrop for our intimate wedding.  Although our wedding took place on the hottest day on record in East Tennessee, we were blessed to be surrounded by the love of our family and friends. It was truly the most wonderful and magical day of our lives.
