Backyard country weddings are some of the most special weddings we feature here on Rustic Wedding Chic and this wedding is no different. Filled with special country chic details and beautiful backyard elegance this wedding has got us all saying “ohhhh”! From the photographer: Kara & Matt hosted a picturesque backyard affair near Cooperstown, NY. As soon as we showed up and saw sunflowers hanging in glass bottles on the porch, I knew the wedding was going to be full of personal touches. The ceremony took place underneath a weathered arbor decorated with white hydrangeas and was backed by an apple orchard which grew up the hill behind them. The beauty of the setting was only second to the heartfelt vows the couple exchanged that mingled tears with laughter. Matt is a chef, so the guests enjoyed some of the most delicious food I have ever gotten to sample at a wedding. Cocktail hour was filled with tomato soup shooters, fig and brie crostinis and black bean burgers. The dinner was served family style and was as beautiful as it was delicious. The wedding ended just as perfectly as it began, waving goodbye to Kara & Matt as they roasted s’mores around a fire pit- just the right compliment to the crisp fall wedding day.
