October 18, 2012 at 11:29 pmBurlap is the perfect fabric for the rustic or vintage wedding because of its’ simplicity, durability and ease of use. I can dress up my barn in burlap, lace and chandeliers for an elegant look or use burlap in combination with myriad other colors for a more whimsical use. Every country bride loves the look of burlap on her special day.

October 18, 2012 at 10:54 pmI adore the simple elegance of burlap! I am using it at my own rustic wedding and love showing people how lovely it can look and change their opinion of burlap. It creates a casual feel but brings such charm and simple beauty to the decor…I cannot wait to see the finished decorations!

October 18, 2012 at 6:35 pmIm completely in love with burlap! I’ve made wreaths using it, and now I’m trying to use it a center of my wedding planning. I love the look and the comfortable feel it creates in settings. It’s elegant and rustic at the same time, and great creating different textures and feels to tables, chairs, and other decor! 😉

October 18, 2012 at 2:28 pmWe are getting married in a barn in September of 2013 and the first decision made in the planning process was to use burlap for all of our table runners, and to use in our decorations. I can’t imagine anything more beautiful than a table covered with ivory linens, burlap table runners, and the centerpieces of old books, and mason jars filled with autumn colored flowers and candles. I also plan on using a lot of burlap in the draping of the beams and on each side of the barn doors like drapery panels. I’m even wrapping mums on each side of the ceremony aisle wrapped in burlap. I just love that it’s a casual fabric that I can mix with other fabrics and lace to bring a rustic but vintage feel throughout.

October 18, 2012 at 1:57 pmI love burlap, I am getting married in June and incorporating our rustic chic charm to our wedding aisle and centerpieces. We are using burlap ribbon and tying them around mason jars and filling with peonies for a beautiful chic (and different) look!

October 18, 2012 at 1:37 pmThank you for doing this giveaway! I absolutely LOVE all things burlap and it fits perfectly with the theme of my wedding I am planning for next March! Our venue is an all in one indoor/outdoor venue and the backdrop of our sunset outdoor ceremony is a field of windmills – I think it will be so perfect! To the left and right of where we will be standing at the ceremony will be 2 wine barrells with floral arrangements coming off of them. I would love to have burlap bows on the backs of the chairs on the left and right of the aisle at the ceremony! My decor is very rustcic and I am planning to incorporate burlap touches! A burlap runner for the head table would be so perfect with it bunched on the ends and tied with a cute piece of ribbon! Our centerpieces at the reception will be a mixture of wine bottles of different shapes and sizes with wild flowers in them and I would love to have a square burlap piece underneath them as well! Excited to see who wins!

October 18, 2012 at 1:17 pmI am a “country girl” at heart! …..always have been and always will be!! Burlap says “come on in”, “stay a while” and most important “come as you are…..you are always welcome here”. It is absolutely a perfect compliment to antiques, wrought iron and a time gone by. My entire wedding is a very rustic & inviting theme…..of burlap, old iron wheels, wooden shingles, aged doors and even old rusty wheelbarrows. It is going to be a blast. Not a “western” theme but a “we are so glad you came….relax & stay awhile” theme. We want everyone to have a wonderful time and I think Burlap says just that. It really reminds me so much of growing up in the 60’s on a farm and all those wonderful burlap “feed sacks”. Those were the days. Love Love Love all that burlap says!

October 18, 2012 at 1:08 pmBurlap is a must at a rustic wedding. We are getting married at a ranch, the girls are wearing casual short country dresses with cowgirl boots, guys casual suits. I plan on using burlap as table runners and possibly wrapping around chairs, then stacking a couple books on each table with a mason jar bouquet, wrapped with ribbon. Reception is in a barn, ceremony in an apple orchard. I can’t wait!

October 18, 2012 at 12:47 pmI am using recycled burlap for the majority of our wedding. Not only the fabric durable but it’s super versatile and can be sleek or rustic. I need to make burlap curtains so an extra $50 would be great!

I plan to use it on the tables, as well as wedding favors holding tree seedlings that people can watch grow, as well as filter the air we all need. October 18, 2012 at 12:43 pmWe are getting married in a rustic Inn in North Carolina. I wanted to keep with the feel of the Inn and burlap absolutely fits the bill!! I am using burlap for table runners, silverware & napkin holders, as well as a beautiful back-drop in the wedding arbor on the grounds of the Inn. Also, many of the items that I am using burlap for my wedding, I can also re-purpose in my home…especially for wreaths, special occasion dinner parties and holidays. Burlap is so versatile and goes with my overall personal style.

October 18, 2012 at 11:16 amI absolutely love how you can create a rustic chic wedding using burlap! I plan to use it in the smallest of details for the wedding in the spring. Wrapping it around the candle holders for the tables and wrapping it around the mason jars with a simple flower or button for detail to be used as glasses and flower vases. I love the simple look that it offers, but at the same time it brings about that extra texture and detail.

October 17, 2012 at 10:25 pmWe are looking forward to our special day! I’d always gone to weddings and taken mental notes, but never had really thought about my own wedding, not the details anyway. I felt overwhelmed at first, not knowing what kind of vibe would represent us well , until I found Pinterest and so many fabulous ideas. I wanted to be able to have a very personal touch on the wedding while still having it be classy, I realized that I am not extremely crafty, but burlap is something so simple that can be molded into something extremely beautiful, like the relationship with my fiance and I. As much as I’d love to win the giftcard, I’d just like to thank you for all of the wonderful ideas I’ve found to make our special day OUR special day!

October 17, 2012 at 9:25 pmWe are using burlap for our post destinations wedding celebrations in Ohio and Texas. It is the perfect fabric to compliment our venues- a barn in Texas and a venue that has the look and feel of a log cabin in Ohio. I love that it can bring a casual elegance to the decor. It is such a versatile fabric and it travels very well which is extremely important in our case.

For my own rustic wedding in June we plan on using burlap as table runners, bows for all 200 chairs and also along the banister of the stairs in our barn venue. October 17, 2012 at 5:07 pmI have always loved the opposition of burlap and lace, and the opposing textures it creates. My wedding is being held in a barn so burlap is perfect for me. Also burlap gives an instant rustic and vintage feel without being too stuffy or overdone.

October 17, 2012 at 4:42 pmLoving the burlap fabric ideas for my country rustic wedding. The awesome thing about burlap is that you can dress it up to for an elegant touch or leave as is for a raw, down-to-earth accent. I will be incorporating burlap in my summer barn wedding because we want to create a laid-back, warm & country home style environment (looks great with lace & blue gingham!). The fabric Gods hit it big with burlap.
Kristen
October 17, 2012 at 4:39 pmFollowing on both FB and Pinterest. I love burlap for weddings as it lends a bit of contrast, especially when pairing with something soft such as lace. It helps balance the soft with a harder edge.

October 17, 2012 at 4:09 pmThe idea of using burlap in our wedding is more than just a rustic theme. For us, it’s more like our regular daily life. But it is one of the many things in our daily lives that has such classic country charm and can be displayed beautifully. Our hopes are to use it in several different ways. From table runners and seat covers, to wrapping floral arrangements. Specifically in her bouquet and my boutaniere, just to name a few.

October 17, 2012 at 3:22 pmBurlap is the perfect touch to give my wedding a rustic chic feel. I am getting married next to beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee and will be using burlap runners on each table. In addition, there are chair covers and having that little bit of extra money to create beautiful bow sashes to go on them would be perfect for our decor!

October 17, 2012 at 1:41 pmBefore I got engaged, I never would have thought that I would want a rustic themed wedding. But when I found my venue, a historic country estate surrounded by beautiful gardens I knew that rustic was the only way to go. Burlap runners would be the perfect fabric to complement the gorgeous location. It will be subtle enough to blend, but at the same time create a statement table.

October 17, 2012 at 11:00 amI absolutely LOOVE the look of burlap. I am very primitive country style and going all out on burlap for my rustic barn wedding. I’m loving the looks for bows on chairs, to wrap my silverware in, and table runners. I could go all out but don’t want to over do it. The best part is that I will be able to use a lot of my wedding decor at home.

October 17, 2012 at 9:11 amMy mom told me stories of her dresses being made from burlap when she was little girl because they were poor. She’s come a long way and successful in her on own right. Rags to riches kinda story. Everything in my wedding has some type of sentiment So the burlap represents my mom and my admiration for where she came from to where she is today.

October 17, 2012 at 9:04 amBurlap~ a transition piece.
The wedding I visioned from the moment I became engaged was a low key wedding. Not that we didn’t have many people because we do. But a statement that we are laid back and want our guests to feel like that as well. I am from Kansas and my future husband attends school there, so we immediately gravitated toward the country feel. While planning the burlap material immediately says ” this is where I come from ” a beautiful transition piece to the latter, romance. We are joining a union and we want you to share it, lace, flowers, old bottles, and hay bales. With out the burlap I don’t know how well it would all flow. Burlap has the potential to be more than just a fabric, it has the opportunity to help create our special day.
