Camp style weddings have become such a big trend in rustic weddings and today we have one which combines a camping style with a vintage style! From the bride: The description of our wedding on our website read, “At our wedding weekend you will find a medley of rustic music festival, vintage camping, and barn dancing shenanigans all sung to the tune of love.” This basically sums up my inspiration in one poetic sentence. Every little piece of the wedding from décor to venue actually has a very deep connection to a very integral part of who we are and our personalities. Thanks to Sarah Kathleen for capturing this wedding so beautifully and for sharing it with us today.
Camping: Something we love to do with our friends and family. We love being in the outdoors, roughing it, and enjoying nature at it’s finest. And the oak trees that speak so dearly to my heart were the perfect setting. Vintage: Bringing the beauty of antiques and family heirlooms into the décor to be part of our perfect day was so important. My family has long been in the sewing business and I spent many hours sewing and crafting DIY projects for the wedding. Many of them were integrated pieces that were hand-me-downs from my great-grandmother. It was special to have her spirit their through these beautiful pieces of art that she had created. Even things that were not vintage but were newly created, were all created by the hands of people I love and it was so special.
