This wedding is beautiful in so many different ways but I think the fact that many personal touches are included is what makes this wedding a winner to me. From the photographer: The detail and planning that Kay, Dan, and their families put into this wedding are just astounding. I love DIY weddings because they are so personal, and are such a great reflection of the couple’s unique personality. Kay and Dan wore garments made of pineapple fibers that they had purchased in the Philippines while visiting family. This was just the beginning of the lovely way this couple incorporated Kay’s Filipino traditions into their wedding day. Kay and Dan had planned a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Dan’s family farm overlooking the pond. But just before the ceremony was due to start, it started to downpour like crazy! And while you might think that a couple would get antsy about this kind of weather, Kay and Dan saw this rain delay as a great excuse to relax and spend a few extra moments with their beloved wedding party.
